چکیده
Abstract. In this article the aeroelastic loads on a 10 MW turbine in response to extreme events (low-level jet, shear, veer and turbulence intensity) selected from year-long large-eddy simulation (LES) site at North Sea are evaluated. These generated with high-fidelity LES wind model fed into an tool using two different aerodynamic models: based blade element momentum (BEM) free vortex wake model. Then calculated compared IEC standards. It was found that all these remain within those of design loads. Moreover, accuracy BEM-based methods for modelling such conditions showed considerable overprediction shear and/or veer.

The current design of gas-turbine (GT) systems is driven by the need for increased powerdensities, improved fuel-efficiencies, and reduced life cycle costs and environmental impact. Computational techniques have the potential for providing valuable information for the design of GT combustion systems, if adequate models are available. Over recent years, remarkable progress has been made in the d...

chapter i provides an overview of structural linguistics and touches upon the saussurean dichotomies with the final goal of exploring their relevance to the stylistic studies of literature. to provide evidence for the singificance of the study, chapter ii deals with the controversial issue of linguistics and literature, and presents opposing views which, at the same time, have been central to t...
15 صفحه اولPredicting Unsteady Loads inMarine Propulsor Crashback Using Large Eddy Simulation
Propulsor crashback is an off-design operating condition where a propulsor rotates in the reverse direction to yield negative thrust. Crashback is characterized by the interaction of the free stream with the reverse flow generated by propulsor rotation. This causes a highly unsteady vortex ring which leads to flow separation and unsteady forces and moments on the blades. Large eddy simulation (...
متن کاملLarge-eddy simulation of transonic turbulent flow over a bump
Transonic turbulent boundary-layer flow over a circular-arc bump has been computed by high-resolution large-eddy simulation of the compressible Navier–Stokes equations. The inflow turbulence was prescribed using a new technique, in which known dynamical features of the inner and outer part of the boundary-layer were exploited to produce a standard turbulent boundary-layer within a short distanc...
